Full-Time Dining Assistant / Housekeeper Job Overview Our Assisted Living Community is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented Dining Assistant to join our team.. The ideal candidate enjoys working with seniors, takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, and is committed to providing excellent customer service. This role offers variety throughout the day and provides the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents. Responsibilities Dining Services Set up and prepare the dining room for meal service. Welcome and assist residents during meals. Serve meals and beverages in a courteous and professional manner. Clear, clean, sanitize, and reset tables following each meal. Assist residents with opening packages, cutting food, and other dining needs as appropriate. Encourage and redirect residents with memory loss back to the dining room when appropriate. Report residents who miss meals or have changes in appetite to the appropriate clinical staff. Communicate resident diet concerns or discrepancies to the cook, supervisor, or person in charge. Maintain cleanliness of the dining room, serving areas, and food service equipment. Maintain a current Oregon Food Handler Certificate. General Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service to residents, families, and guests. Work collaboratively with all departments to support resident care. Follow all community policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Current Oregon Food Handler Certificate or ability to obtain one upon hire. Previous experience in dining services, housekeeping, hospitality, healthcare, or senior living is preferred but not required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing outstanding service to older adults.
