Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as an Event Setup/Cookie Booth Worker and be at the heart of creating memorable experiences for guests! In this lively role, you will serve delicious cookies and confections, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. You will also be tasked with setting up and breaking down the booth area, including assembling a tent and folding tables, and organizing and displaying trays of cookies to create an inviting presentation. Your energy and enthusiasm will help keep the area running smoothly, making every guest's visit enjoyable and seamless. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service, sales, and hospitality while working in a vibrant setting. Top of pay range includes tips on top of hourly rate during some events. Responsibilities Prepare and serve a variety of food items, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards. Operate POS systems such as Clover to process transactions accurately and efficiently. Provide friendly customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling additional items to enhance guest experience. Manage cash handling responsibilities with precision, including giving correct change and balancing registers at shift end. Maintain cleanliness of the concession area by cleaning trays and equipment, and ensuring proper sanitation practices are followed throughout your shift. Assist with food handling procedures, including stocking supplies, food preparation, and ensuring proper storage of perishable items. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or quick-service restaurants is preferred; culinary or restaurant experience is a plus. Set up and break down the booth area, including assembling tents and folding tables, and organizing and displaying trays of cookies to create an inviting and efficient workspace. Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of POS systems is advantageous. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and clear communication abilities. Basic math skills for cash handling, sales transactions, and inventory management. Understanding of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads up to 50lbs, and work flexible hours including weekends or evenings. Ability to drive a van.
