Banquet Set-Up Attendant Job Description:
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Banquet Set-Up Attendant to join our team. This is an hourly position with the opportunity to earn gratuity from events. The ideal candidate is a team player with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude. As a Banquet Set-Up Attendant, your primary responsibility is to prepare banquet and meeting spaces according to detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs). This includes arranging tables, chairs, linens, staging, and equipment to ensure each event is flawlessly executed. When event set-up is not required, this role will also assist with light cleaning, organization, and maintaining the overall readiness of event spaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and break down event spaces in alignment with BEO specifications Arrange tables, chairs, dance floors, stages, and other event equipment Ensure setups are completed safely, accurately, and on time Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet storage areas Perform light cleaning, organizing, and maintenance of event spaces during downtime Assist with minimal A/V setup (e.g., placing microphones, connecting projectors) - experience is a plus Coordinate and communicate effectively with banquet staff and other departments Uphold a positive and professional attitude while working in a team environment
Qualifications:
Previous experience in banquet or event set-up preferred but not required Ability to lift and move heavy furniture and equipment (up to 50 lbs) Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately Flexible schedule, including availability for nights, weekends, and holidays Basic A/V knowledge is a plus Reliable, punctual, and proactive with a strong sense of responsibility
Compensation:
Hourly wage based on experience Gratuity potential from hosted events
