Responsibilities Manage daily dining operations, including overseeing staff, ensuring smooth shift transitions, and maintaining high standards of service. Supervise food preparation, kitchen management, and food safety practices to deliver top-quality meals consistently. Oversee inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing food costs to optimize profitability. Train and develop team members through coaching, staff training programs, and performance evaluations. Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure a positive dining experience. Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation. Support budgeting efforts by analyzing profit and loss reports and implementing strategies for improvement. Requirements Proven experience in restaurant management or food service management with a background in casual dining or quick service environments. Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations. Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS; cash handling experience is essential. Demonstrated ability to supervise teams, manage shifts, and lead staff training initiatives. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate staff and interact professionally with guests. Experience with inventory control, budgeting, and profit/loss analysis within the hospitality industry. Prior assistant manager or supervisory experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred.
