Join Our Caring Dining Team! As a dining assistant in our hospital, you'll play a key role in meal preparation and service, ensuring patients receive nourishing and appealing meals in their rooms! If you're passionate about food and helping others, apply today!•The Dining Assistant is responsible for patient meal service food on assigned units, e.g., menu selections, tray assembly, tray delivery and pick up, special requests and needs, in-between meal food delivery. The Dining Assistant is responsible for meeting and maintaining established food service protocols.
Responsibilities :
Accountable and responsible for patient meal service food on assigned units, e.g., menu selections, tray assembly, tray delivery and pick up, special requests and needs, in-between meal food delivery. Is familiar with dietary restrictions on special, modified diets to ensure optimal food preferences are met within guidelines of diet order limitations and assists dietitian with monitoring of patients who are NPO, on liquid diets or need to have intake recorded. Accurately reports information to members of the department team and other members of UPMC Washington. Completes and demonstrates competency in all technical skills and patient care procedures as delegated according to established UPMC Washington Core Dining Assistant Skills & Responsibilities.
Schedule :
Rotating shifts: 6AM-2:30PM, 10:30AM-7:00PM, 2:00PM - 7:00PM, 3:30PM-7PM. Rotating days, holidays, and weekends required. May be required to work other days/shifts based on hospital needs.
