Position Summary:
SLA Management is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to join our team. This role is perfect for a dependable, friendly individual who enjoys working in a team-oriented environment. You'll assist with meal preparation, serving, and maintaining a clean, welcoming dining area—helping ensure every student receives a nutritious meal served with care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service and create a positive dining experience for students and staff. Assist with preparing, portioning, and serving meals according to SLA standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization in food prep, serving, and dining areas. Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures to ensure a safe environment. Restock food, utensils, and supplies as needed throughout the day. Assist with kitchen setup and cleanup before and after meal service. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient operations.
Qualifications:
Experience in school food service, particularly in high-volume settings, preferred. Knowledge of NSLP/NSBP and CACFP programs a plus. Must have early childhood food service experience and an understanding of reporting requirements. Strong commitment to customer service and teamwork. Food safety and sanitation knowledge preferred (training provided if needed). Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 20 lbs. Reliable, punctual, and able to follow directions with attention to detail. Why Join SLA Management?
