Responsibilities Prepare a variety of menu items with precision, adhering strictly to recipes and presentation standards. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, braising pots, poaching devices, and other culinary tools. Follow food safety sanitizing procedures rigorously to maintain a hygienic workspace and ensure compliance with health regulations. Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient selection and preparation methods to optimize flavor and presentation. Handle food production tasks such as food handling, food preparation, cooking, braising, grilling, poaching, and meal assembly for high-volume service. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area through regular sanitizing of surfaces, utensils, and equipment. Support dietary department needs by preparing specialized meals according to dietary guidelines and restrictions. Ensure proper knife skills are used during food prep to maximize efficiency and safety. Collaborate with team members to meet the demands of catering events or large-scale food service operations. Qualifications Proven experience in food handling, food preparation, or culinary roles within restaurant or catering environments. Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures. Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and high-volume production is highly desirable. Skilled in operating various kitchen equipment safely and effectively. Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities and dietary department standards is a plus. Demonstrated proficiency in cooking techniques such as braising, grilling, poaching, and meal preparation. Excellent knife skills with attention to detail in food presentation. Previous experience in fine dining or restaurant settings is advantageous. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards.
