A Busser, Banquet Worker, or Cafeteria Attendant assists with food service at a restaurant, large banquet hall or cafeteria. Removes used dishes, sets tables with clean dishes and linens, replenishes foods served at food stations or buffet tables, and provides water, coffee or other beverages for patrons.
Responsible for assembly of patient trays, setting up and maintaining serving line and area, and keeping tray line area in a clean and orderly condition. Under the direct supervision of the Patient Service Managers, responsible for an assigned shift, five days per week.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Serves and replenishes food from counters and steam tables, and breaks down stations at the end of meal periods. Cleans and sanitizes workstations, counters, steam tables and other equipment. Performs dish room activities for ware washing, meeting timelines and regulatory requirements. Delivers food carts to nursing floors at each meal for distribution. Picks up trays from patient rooms following each meal bringing, returning carts to Food and Nutrition Service. Receives, sorts, washes, racks, shelves china and glassware and performs another cleaning as required. Properly stores, labels and dates food according to hospital safety and sanitation guidelines with 100% accuracy. Performs related responsibilities as required or directed.
