Duties include:
Facilitate food and beverage service in tasting rooms, RVs, bars, and outdoor tasting spaces. Set up and put away vineyard equipment such as umbrellas, heaters, and coolers for tasting events and classes. Clean tables; remove dirty dishes; replace soiled table linens; carry soiled linen to or from washing or laundry areas, set tables for new guests; replenish silverware, glassware, and dishes; supply service bar with food; and serve items such as beverages and condiments, to patrons. Prepare charcuterie for tasting events. Keep back-stocked items neat, orderly, properly rotated, and clearly labeled while maintaining floor stock. Clean dining spaces, as needed.
Special Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age or older. Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs. Must be able to work a 5-day schedule, including weekends and holidays as required. The pay is 16.81 per hour with overtime available at $25.22 per hour, based on hourly rate. This position qualifies as a tipped occupation under FLSA regulations. A tip credit will be applied in accordance with federal and state wage laws to meet the required offered wage. The employer will ensure that the combination of the base hourly wage and tips received equals or exceeds the offered wage for all hours worked. If at any time the tip credit does not result in total earnings meeting or exceeding the offered wage, the employer will make up the difference. The work schedule is as follows: 35 hour per week from Monday to Friday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm. Job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. The requested temporary workers will be based at 362 Livesay Lane, Fredericksburg, TX 78624 and will serve clients within the Hill Country Region of Texas nonmetropolitan area, including the Gillespie County. The Employer will provide daily transportation to and from the worksite and the offered housing, if accepted, at no cost to the workers. Single workweek will be used in computing wages due. Pay period is Bi-Weekly. Employers will deduct all legally required amounts from workers' paychecks. The Employer will offer housing for all workers at no cost. The Employer may deduct for damage to housing that results from intentional misconduct, willful destruction, abuse, or negligent behavior. In such cases, the Employer reserves the right to recover the cost of repairs or replacement as permitted by applicable law. The offered housing is optional for workers. Transportation, including meals and, to the extent necessary, lodging, to the place of employment will be provided, or its cost to workers reimbursed by a company check, separate from the payroll check, if the worker completes half of the employment period. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back to home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economically and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $16.78 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Reimbursement in the first work week for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker (but not included passport expenses or other charges primarily for the benefit of the worker). The employer will provide worker, at no charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job and on the job training in the proper use of tools and equipment. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period only to the extent that this guarantee is enforced by the Department of Labor.
