Team Assistant (Food Runner & Busser)

Summary/Objective The Team Assistant sets the stage for an amazing dining experience at Altstadt by maintaining a clean, organized atmosphere. The job holder is responsible for running fresh food from out kitchen and other food/beverage preparation areas to the table in a professional manner for our guests. In addition, this position also helps bussing tables or set up rooms for events. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Takes food/beverage choices to our guests in the restaurant, grand hall, taproom and biergarten. Bussing and cleaning tables for new guests in accordance to the Company's standards when needed. Performs associated side work as assigned. Supports waiters and kitchen staff in other duties as required. Competencies 1. Technical Capacity

Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment This job operates in a restaurant environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to environmental hazards including, but not limited smoke, steam, high temperatures, humidity, extreme cold (i.e. walk-in freezer); frequent contact/immersion of hands in water, sanitation solutions, meat products, poultry products, seafood and produce items and frequent washing of hands. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. This role is mostly mobile, and the jobholder must be able to stand and walk around for their entire assigned shift. The jobholder is regularly required to bend, stoop, reach, lift, shake, stir, pour, carry, push, talk, hear, speak, read, walk and stand. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls in repetitive motions. The employee occasionally lifts and carries tubs and cases weighing up to 75 pounds. The employee must frequently communicate with expediters and servers and read orders on tickets. Mental Demands The jobholder must be able to use good judgement and escalate customer issues to the correct server, host or manager. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work The typical hours of work and days may vary, and the jobholder is required to work as scheduled by management. Overtime may be required from time to time at Management's discretion. Travel No travel is expected for this position. Required Education and Experience 1. No prior education or experience required Preferred Education and Experience 1. Previous restaurant or cleaning experience 2. Highschool diploma or GED Additional Eligibility Qualifications 1. Must be 16 years of age or older at the time of application 2. Must be able to pass the Responsible Service of Alcohol Test with a score of 90% or better (to assist servers as needed) 3.
