Position Overview

We are seeking dependable and customer-focused Food Service Workers to join our team in a hospital environment. This position plays an important role in ensuring patients receive quality meal service while maintaining sanitation and safety standards.

Job Duties

Deliver meal carts to patient units

Assist with bedside meal setup and interact directly with patients

Collect and properly dispose of soiled trays

Take inventory and restock nourishment areas

Operate food service and technical equipment accurately

Clean and sanitize dishware, equipment, and workstations

Perform dishroom and janitorial duties as needed

Assist with food preparation and meal service

Maintain cash receipts and meal records

Complete daily reports and documentation

Follow food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards

Provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Minimum of one (1) year of food service experience preferred

Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor

Ability to read and write effectively

Basic math skills required

Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure

Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions

Food Service Certificate required (if applicable)

Must pass a background check (no felonies within the past 7 years)
