Come join the team! Mambo Seafood is a high-volume iconic Houston restaurant brand that has been in business since 1996. Mambo has 12 restaurants in the Greater Houston area, one location in San Antonio, and one franchised operation in the Rio Grande Valley. Mambo Seafood is poised for rapid growth! Summary The primary responsibility of a Busser is to ensure the cleanliness of the restaurant and its outdoor areas. The Busser is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the dining room by clearing tables and keeping the floors and seating clean. The Busser is also responsible for maintaining the bathrooms and outdoor areas, including the parking lot, walkways and patios. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Practices the Company service principles. Sets up and/or breaks down beverage station and condiment area. Sorts dishes, glasses, and silverware. Assists cashier and bartenders in restocking their areas. Cleans and maintains bathrooms, cleans windows and takes garbage out when needed. Cleans floor areas inside and outside the restaurant, including parking lot, walkways, and patios. Cleans tables, chairs, high chairs, and booster seats before, after and throughout shift. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Must be at least 17 years of age. Ability to speak, write and read simple instructions in English. Spanish-speaking is a plus, but not required. Must have a Food Handler Certificate. Must be a team player and customer-service oriented. Prior food service industry and/or janitorial experience is helpful but not required. Physical Requirements Stands and walks on uneven, slippery, and/or wet surface for at least 8 consecutive hours. Speaks through radio and listens through earpiece for at least 8 consecutive hours. Clearly observes customer service in the dining room from up to 100 feet. Routinely lifts, stoops, kneels, bends, pushes, and pulls up to 50 pounds, and reaches overhead. Routinely carries full service tray and bus tubs. Performs moderately strenuous activity for at least 8 consecutive hours. Performs other physical requirements necessary to perform duties and responsibilities. Working Environment Moderate noise, fast pace, high customer traffic. Ability to tolerate cleaning solutions on a regular basis. Occasional ascending or descending of ladders, stairs, and ramps.
