Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and motivated professional to support food preparation and cafeteria operations in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with food, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and contributing to a positive guest or employee dining experience. Responsibilities Assist with preparing ingredients and basic menu items according to established procedures. Set up, restock, and maintain cafeteria serving areas to ensure items are presented neatly and available as needed. Support food portioning, plating, and distribution during meal service. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food preparation, service, and storage areas. Wash dishes, utensils, equipment, and work surfaces as assigned. Follow food safety, hygiene, and temperature control guidelines at all times. Assist with receiving, rotating, and storing inventory properly. Communicate effectively with team members to help ensure smooth daily operations. Provide courteous and professional service to guests, employees, or customers. Perform additional duties as needed to support the cafeteria or kitchen team. Qualifications Previous food service, kitchen, or cafeteria experience is preferred but not required. Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a busy environment. Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and food safety practices. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks. Dependable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively with others. Basic communication and customer service skills. Willingness to learn and take direction in a team setting. Preferred Skills Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques. Experience operating standard kitchen equipment safely. Familiarity with cafeteria or high-volume food service environments. Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining quality and speed.
