Merit Preparatory Academy is seeking a dependable, positive, and student-focused Cafeteria Food Prep Worker to help prepare and serve meals to our students and staff. This position is an important part of creating a welcoming school environment and ensuring students receive nutritious meals in a clean, safe, and friendly setting. What You'll Do Prepare, portion, and serve breakfast, lunch, snacks, and other food items. Follow menus, recipes, portion sizes, and food safety procedures. Set up and maintain the cafeteria and food serving areas. Provide friendly and professional service to students and staff. Maintain proper food temperatures and safe food-handling practices. Clean and sanitize kitchen, serving, and dining areas. Wash dishes, utensils, and food-service equipment. Properly store food, supplies, and equipment. Assist with meal counts, food deliveries, and inventory as needed. Monitor food and supply levels and report shortages or concerns. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all school policies and maintain appropriate professional boundaries with students. Perform other food-service duties as assigned. What We're Looking For Dependable and punctual.
