Overview About Petit Sable Petit Sable is an artisan café and pastry concept focused on high-quality French-inspired pastries, viennoiserie, specialty coffee, breakfast offerings, and savory café items. We are building a passionate, team-oriented kitchen environment centered on craftsmanship, consistency, and hospitality. We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Baker / Food Handler to support daily pastry, bakery, and café food production within our growing operation.
The Role:
Baker / Food Handler As a Baker / Food Handler at Petit Sablé, you are a key part of our "Live Baking Experience." You won't simply be preparing food — you will help craft the quality, consistency, and hospitality that define our brand. In this role, you will balance artisan pastry and bakery production with café food preparation in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Your Role Includes:
Daily Craftsmanship :
Assist with preparation and baking of our full menu — including signature sablés, artisanal croissants, savory pizzas, pastries, sandwiches, breakfast items, and egg-based dishes — while ensuring every item meets our quality and presentation standards.Food Preparation & Production :
Support dough preparation, portioning, shaping, sandwich assembly, breakfast preparation, and egg station production while maintaining consistency, speed, and efficiency during service.Quality & Consistency :
Follow recipes, production procedures, and operational standards to ensure consistency across all products and maintain the quality expectations of the Petit Sablé brand.Kitchen Operations :
Manage daily food prep, stocking, organization, and rigorous cleaning/sanitation tasks to maintain a clean, efficient, and professional kitchen environment.Safety Excellence :
Strictly follow all food safety, sanitation, and health protocols to ensure a safe environment for both team members and guests.Team Collaboration :
Actively support Shift Leads, Chefs, and fellow team members to ensure a smooth and collaborative workflow during preparation and service hours.Minimum Requirements:
Experience:
1+ year of professional kitchen, bakery, café, or food preparation experience. Open to candidates with less experience who demonstrate a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.Age:
Must be at least 18 years of age.Commitment:
Ability to work flexible schedules, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Both part-time and full-time availability are welcome.Food Safety:
Must complete basic food safety and operational training upon hire. ServSafe certification is considered a plus.Skillset:
A fast learner who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment with strong attention to detail, consistency, cleanliness, and teamwork.Background:
