Job Description
Holiday Inn Express Burlington Downtown, a Colwen Hotels Property, we are seeking an engaging, friendly, detail-oriented Part Time Breakfast Attendant to join our team. The primary responsibilities of this role include handling the setup and breakdown of the breakfast buffet, maintaining the dining area, ensuring food is available, and delivering exceptional guest service. The schedule for this position is Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 5:30 AM to 11:30 AM.
General Responsibilities:
Prep food offerings, set up food service area. Acknowledge and welcome each guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly greeting (use guest name whenever possible). Answer questions regarding the menu. Maintain knowledge of all food items. Adhere to all applicable food safety regulation including correct time and temperature control and HAACP guidelines. Delivers food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items. Ensure all food products meet specifications, notify management of issues. Collect plates and clear table as guests finish their meal. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dining area, and guest area during shift. Adhere to all applicable Colwen and brand standards for food and beverage service and compliance with state liquor policies. Maintain knowledge of guest rooms, amenities, features, and services offered at the hotel. Clean designated areas in accordance with defined procedures, following proper set up and closing procedures. Ensure sideboards are adequately stocked. Set tables to standards and ensure that all items are clean and in good repair. Perform other related duties as assigned.Job Requirements:
Previous Food & Beverage experience preferred Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, ability to solve problems Basic understanding of/or ability to learn basic sanitation and regulations for workplace safety Basic understanding of or ability to learn food handling techniques, preparation, and cooking procedures Ability to work quickly and efficiently Organizational and time management skills Ability to work with a team Ability to maintain personal hygiene Willingness to work rotational work schedule, including early mornings and/or nights, weekends and holidays We've got you covered:Benefits & Perks:
