This position serves as banquet leadership support in the absence of the Banquet Captain and reports to our Food and Beverage Manager. Every day is different, but you'll mostly: Manage Guest interaction and directly communicate with on-site contacts, event hosts and adjacent vendors. Works alongside the Culinary Team and Director of Catering to ensure all events are executed flawlessly. Prepare task agendas for staff and ensure BEOs are being followed and executed properly. Ensure event space is maintained to pristine condition and conduct daily walk throughs of the space. Communicate on a daily basis with other hotel departments to provide excellent service as a collective team. Serving guest needs by providing knowledge of menu items, and information on how it is prepared. Perform any needed role such as serving, bartending or houseperson duties. Anticipate guest needs, offer suggestions, problem solve, and quickly address and respond accordingly to guest concerns. Other duties as assigned.
