Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Banquet Captain to lead our banquet service team at the Red Lion Hotel in Port Angeles during events and functions. This pivotal role ensures seamless execution of banquet operations, maintains high standards of customer service, and supervises staff to deliver memorable dining experiences. Duties Oversee the setup, service, and breakdown of banquet events, ensuring all details meet quality standards. Lead and supervise banquet staff, including servers and food runners, to deliver exceptional service. Coordinate with culinary teams to ensure timely food preparation and presentation aligned with event schedules. Manage guest interactions professionally, resolving issues promptly to guarantee satisfaction. Enforce sanitation procedures and safety protocols in accordance with food safety regulations. Monitor event progress and adjust staffing or operations as needed for efficiency. Maintain accurate records of event details, staffing schedules, and operational reports. Requirements Proven experience in banquet or restaurant management with supervising responsibilities. Strong knowledge of food preparation, food handling, sanitation procedures, and hospitality standards. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage food service teams effectively. Familiarity with POS systems and food safety management practices. Exceptional customer service skills paired with the ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure. Previous experience in catering or banquet settings is highly desirable. Ability to coordinate logistics for large events while maintaining attention to detail.
