Pay Range:

$17.13 per hour - $21.00 per hour University students with restrictions on number of hours they can work, including international students, should apply for open student worker positions at the school they attend. What You'll Do:

As a Stock Worker,Receiver and Dish at Sodexo, you will provide administrative and logistical support to warehouse operations, which includes receiving merchandise, unloading or unpacking goods, marking items with identification codes, stocking shelves, and assisting customers with order placement. They work in stores, warehouses, stockrooms, and other storage facilities. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Sodexo may identify other responsibilities of the position. These responsibilities may differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements. This job also includes maintaining the dish and doing dishes post events. Responsibilities Receive and inspect incoming food supplies and ingredients, ensuring quality standards are met Properly store food items following food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation guidelines Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, portioning, and organizing ingredients for service Maintain cleanliness by washing dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment according to food safety management standards Buss tables and clear dining areas promptly to support smooth service flow Follow all kitchen health and safety standards during manual handling and heavy lifting activities Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including dishwashers and other small appliances Ensure all food handling practices comply with restaurant policies and food safety regulations Responsibilities also include: Verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment. Receives, lifts, moves, stores, issues, counts, sorts, weighs, and verifies items on requisitions or invoices. Receives and processes a wider variety of incoming freight, including stationery supplies, chemicals, electronic equipment, and other materials daily across perimeter buildings and according to priority. Compares incoming and outgoing shipments to bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records to verify information. Determines method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates. Communicate with vendors, carriers, and internal departments to coordinate delivery schedules and confirm receipt of goods. Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages. Fills orders, issues supplies from stock and rotates stock to ensure freshness. Resolves delivery problems using a computerized account payable/purchasing system. Significant walking or other means of mobility. Ability to walk or stand for extended periods of time, throughout the entire duration of a shift, which may exceed 8 hours. Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and frequently lift 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds. Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements. Experience Previous food service experience in a restaurant or similar environment is preferred Familiarity with food preparation, dishwashing, and sanitation procedures is highly desirable Experience with operating kitchen equipment and knife skills is advantageous Knowledge of food safety management systems and proper food handling techniques is a plus Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting when necessary Strong understanding of kitchen health and safety standards to maintain a clean and safe workspace
