Dietary Aide St. Paul Elder Services Kaukauna, WI Full-Time and Part-Time All Shifts Available Position Summary St. Paul Elder Services is seeking dependable and compassionate Dietary Aides to join our Nutrition Services team. In this role, you will help provide an enjoyable dining experience by preparing and serving meals, assisting residents during mealtimes, and maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary dining environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with older adults, provides excellent customer service, and is committed to supporting residents through quality meal service and teamwork. Key Responsibilities Assist with the preparation and plating of meals for regular and modified diets. Understand basic therapeutic diets and follow menu guidelines and dietary restrictions. Set up dining rooms, meal carts, and serving areas for scheduled meals and special events. Deliver meals and food carts to resident dining areas and nursing neighborhoods. Assist residents during mealtimes while encouraging independence, dignity, and social interaction. Address residents by name and provide courteous, resident-centered service. Operate the commercial dishwasher following proper sanitation and safety procedures. Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment. Perform routine cleaning of kitchen, dining, and food preparation areas. Dispose of trash and maintain a clean, organized work environment. Participate in departmental audits, meetings, and required in-service training. Report equipment issues and supply needs promptly. Maintain accurate documentation as required. Follow all infection prevention, food safety, HIPAA, workplace safety, and organizational policies and procedures. Required Qualifications Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment. Ability to communicate respectfully with residents, families, and coworkers. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine lifting associated with food service. Commitment to maintaining cleanliness, food safety, and resident satisfaction. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in dietary services, food service, hospitality, healthcare, or senior living. Knowledge of therapeutic diets and food safety practices.
