Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Substitute Food Service Worker. In this role, you will assist with the preparation and serving of quality food to students and staff while ensuring that all food safety and preparation standards are met. The ideal candidate will maintain positive relationships with administration, students, staff and community. Positions are substituting on a day-to-day (call-in and possibility of long-term) basis. Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and safety guidelines.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards throughout all food handling processes.
  • Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and restocking supplies as needed. Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in with large scale cooking and food preparation/serving is preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic math, understanding written and verbal procedures
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff and team members.
  • Knowledge or ability to learn food safety practices and regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to help others.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work with computers
  • POS systems, menu and nutritin software/production records.
  • Abiity to stand and walk for 4-6 hours
  • Ability to bend, twist, reach, lift 30 lbs, kneel and climb.
  • Ability to withstand extreme hot and cold termperatures.
  • Prefer (but not required) candidate with
ServSafe or Good Handler Certificate Job Types:
