Full Job Description Responsibilities:
- Collaborate in overseeing the daily operations of the meat department, including ordering, receiving, and inventory management
- Ensure that all meat products are properly stored, handled, and prepared according to food safety guidelines
- Train and supervise staff on proper meat cutting techniques and sanitation practices
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction
- Monitor and maintain quality control standards for all meat products
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability of the meat department
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new products in the meat market
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role within the food industry, preferably in a grocery store setting
- Strong knowledge of meat cutting techniques and food preparation methods
- Proficient in the use of knives and other meat processing equipment
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and guidelines
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
- Strong communication and leadership skills
