Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Meat Wrapper to join our dynamic custom butcher shop team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing, packaging, and presenting high-quality meat products to ensure customer satisfaction and food safety standards are met. Your enthusiasm for food handling and meat processing will help create an inviting experience while maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and accuracie to ensure customers their own product back. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop skills and gain hands-on experience in the food industry. Responsibilities Wrap, package, and label various meat products with precision, ensuring proper portioning and presentation. Operate meat processing machines safely and efficiently, including slicers, grinders, scales, vacuum machines and stuffers. Conduct visual inspections to verify quality, freshness, and adherence to safety standards for all perishable goods. Follow food safety sanitizing procedures diligently to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment. Assist customers by providing friendly service. Skills Experience in multitasking and accuracy. Proficiency in meat cuts. Knowledge of food safety management practices including sanitizing procedures. Ability to operate meat processing machines safely while maintaining efficiency. Basic math skills for weighing, portioning, and labeling accuracy'. Ability to lift 50-70lb boxes onto shelfs that are 6 foot tall.
