Competitive, based on experience The Butcher Clerk assists with daily operations of the meat department, including product preparation, stocking, merchandising, customer service, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. Responsibilities Assist with cutting, trimming, packaging, weighing, and labeling meat products Stock and organize products in display cases Maintain proper product rotation and monitor freshness and expiration dates Prepare products according to department standards Assist customers with product questions and requests Maintain clean and sanitary work areas, equipment, and display cases Assist with receiving and storing meat products Monitor inventory and notify the department manager when products need to be replenished Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures Perform other duties as assigned by the department manager Qualifications Previous meat department, butcher shop, grocery, or food-service experience preferred Meat cutting or preparation experience is a plus Ability to work in a refrigerated environment Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move products as needed Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team Good customer service and communication skills Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed How to Apply Please apply through Indeed with your resume and contact information.
