Job Description
Job Summary Looking for experienced Bilingual Butcher/Meat cutter, and also good customer service. Duties Use meat processing machines and traditional butchery techniques to cut, trim, and prepare beef, pork, poultry, fish, and other perishable goods with precision. Perform slicing, portioning, and packaging of meat products according to specified weights and presentation standards. Conduct visual inspections for quality control, ensuring all meats are fresh, properly trimmed, and free from defects or contamination. Follow food safety sanitizing procedures diligently to maintain a clean work environment and prevent cross-contamination. Handle food products safely during preparation, storage, and display; manage perishable goods with care to ensure freshness. Assist customers with their meat selections by providing knowledgeable advice on cuts, cooking methods, and food handling best practices. Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, product expiration dates, and sanitation logs to support food safety management. Experience Prior experience in food production or food preparation within a retail store environment is highly desirable. Demonstrated proficiency in meat processing machine operation and traditional butchery skills such as meat cutting, trimming (cutting method), and slicing techniques. Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures, visual inspection for quality control, and perishable goods management. Strong knife skills combined with culinary or kitchen experience that emphasizes food handling and meat preparation. Customer service experience that highlights effective communication and product knowledge delivery in a retail setting. Basic math skills for accurate portioning, weighing, and inventory management are essential. Knowledge of fish handling is a plus for stores offering diverse seafood options.
