This position provides excellent customer service while preparing, wrapping, packaging, stocking, and maintaining meat products and displays. The Meat Associate is expected to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment, follow all food-safety procedures, complete department closing duties, and safely handle heavy products and equipment. This position requires reliability, teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced grocery environment. Responsibilities Wrap and package meat products accurately and efficiently according to store standards. Stock and maintain the meat counter, display cases, and freezer. Rotate products and ensure merchandise is properly organized and presented. Safely lift and move boxes and product weighing up to 75 lbs. Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work area throughout the shift. Complete daily cleaning and sanitation of equipment, counters, floors, and work areas. Assist customers with meat selections and provide friendly, knowledgeable service. Follow proper food-safety, sanitation, and handling procedures at all times. Complete closing duties, including stocking, cleaning, organizing, and preparing the department for the next day. Work efficiently as part of the meat department team and assist with other duties as assigned. Maintain a dependable attendance and punctuality record and be prepared to work scheduled shifts, including closing shifts when assigned.
