We focus on whole animal butchery from local farms around CT. We value craftsmanship, cleanliness, and teamwork. Position Overview We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Butcher to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with prior meat-cutting experience or an individual eager to learn the trade in a hands-on environment. Key Responsibilities Cut, trim, debone, and prepare meats according to shop standards Grind meats and assist in preparing sausages and specialty items Maintain proper storage, labeling, and rotation of products Ensure cleanliness and follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines Assist customers with product selection and special orders Operate meat-cutting equipment safely Help with stocking and light inventory tasks Qualifications Previous butcher or meat-cutting experience preferred (training available) Knowledge of basic meat cuts and food safety practices Strong customer service skills Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented Compensation Competitive hourly pay based on experience
