Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Line Cook / Butcher to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items, expertly handling meat and seafood, and ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. Your culinary expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences, whether in a fine dining setting or high-volume production environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your knife skills, food safety knowledge, and passion for food preparation while working in a fast-paced, energetic atmosphere. Duties Prepare and cook a variety of dishes with precision, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards. Handle butchering tasks including cutting, trimming, and portioning meats and seafood with expert knife skills. Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, poaching stations, braising pans, and food processing machinery safely and efficiently. Maintain strict food safety standards by following sanitizing procedures, proper food handling practices, and HACCP guidelines. Support food production during peak hours by managing high-volume cooking tasks while maintaining quality control. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations, including inventory management and waste reduction efforts. Qualifications Previous experience in dietary aide roles or food service environments is highly desirable. Strong culinary background with fine dining or restaurant experience emphasizing food preparation techniques like grilling, braising, poaching, and meal assembly. Demonstrated proficiency in knife skills, operating kitchen equipment, and adhering to food safety sanitizing procedures. Knowledge of menu planning, recipe adherence, and high-volume production processes within the food industry. Experience with dietary department protocols or catering services is a plus. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail. Pay:
$20.00 - $30.51 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
