Job Summary Join our dynamic team as an Associate Butcher - Customer Sales, where you'll bring your passion for food preparation and meat cutting to deliver exceptional service to our valued customers. In this fast paced role, you'll provide your friendly, helpful customer service and retail skills to provide high-quality meat products, ensure food safety standards are met, and create a welcoming shopping experience. Your attention to detail and commitment to food safety will help us maintain our reputation for excellence in the food industry. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Both part time and full time positions are available. Willingness to work some weekends is a must. Duties Prepare and cut meat products using proper butchery techniques, including trimming, slicing, and meat preparation to meet customer specifications. Operate meat processing machines safely and efficiently, adhering to food safety sanitizing procedures. Package meat products accurately, ensuring proper labeling and presentation for retail display. Provide knowledgeable and friendly customer service by answering questions about products, offering cooking tips, and assisting with selections. Conduct visual inspections for quality control, ensuring all perishable goods meet safety and freshness standards. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, tools, and equipment following food safety management protocols. Manage stock levels of perishable goods, rotating inventory to minimize waste and ensure freshness. Requirements Proven experience in retail store environments where quality and customer service are critical is preferred. Knowledge of butchery techniques, including meat cutting, trimming methods, and slicing techniques is desirable but a great attitude and desire to serve customers is even more important. Ability to operate meat processing machines safely and efficiently. Basic understanding of food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations. Basic math skills for measuring ingredients, portioning products, and managing inventory. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude and clear communication abilities. Familiarity with visual inspection for quality control and perishable goods management. Pay:
$21.00 - $23.00 per hour
