Full Job Description Overview:

Riverwards Produce is a group of produce focused markets in Philadelphia. The Juice Bar Associate position at Riverwards Produce works to cut fruit and make fresh juices and smoothies at the Juice Bar. They maintain a clean workspace that is always in compliance with food safety protocol to ensure our customers are receiving quality products. They pass on inquiries and suggestions from both customers and staff and coordinate with the Juice Bar Supervisor to execute plans which ensure an innovative and exciting menu, product variance, store cleanliness, and aesthetic coherence.

Juice Bar Supervisor Responsibilities:

Greets customers and provides helpful information Makes juices, smoothies and cuts fruit according to the procedures given by the Juice Bar Supervisor Completes the list of tasks associated with the shift worked Organizes and maintains the cleanliness of Juice Bar storage, prep and work areas Ensures the market appears clean and orderly by cleaning up messes, breaking down boxes, sweeping, and helping unload shipments when necessary

Requirements:

Kitchen/food prep experience A desire to greet and engage customers and foster relationships with regulars Punctual and detail oriented A positive attitude and an enthusiastic desire to provide storewide customer service Ability to lift 50+ lbs and spend 8+ hours standing and walking up and down stairs; this includes lifting, carrying, and stooping Passion for the principles of sustainable food and farming Flexibility in scheduling, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays A diligent approach to safety and sanitation. ServSafe (or analogous) certification a plus A team player with a willingness to jump in and help with all tasks. Ability to roll with the punches of a rapidly growing start-up business

COMPENSATION

This is a part-time position, up to 28 hours per week, and weekend work is required. Compensation begins at $16/hr, plus customer tips. Riverwards Produce provides a 20% discount on all store products.
