Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Meat Cutter, where you will play a vital role in preparing high-quality meat products for our customers. Duties Operate meat processing machines safely and efficiently to cut, slice, and prepare different cuts of meat and fish. Use knife skills and slicing techniques to trim, portion, and prepare meat for retail display or packaging. Conduct visual inspections for quality control, ensuring all products meet safety and freshness standards. Package meat products accurately, labeling them with proper weights and descriptions for retail sale. Follow food safety sanitizing procedures diligently to maintain a clean and hygienic work environment. Handle perishable goods carefully, managing stock rotation and storage to prevent spoilage. Assist with food preparation tasks in the store's kitchen or deli area as needed, supporting overall food handling operations. Experience Prior retail store experience preferred, especially in food production or food handling environments. Hands-on experience with meat processing machine operation and butchery techniques is highly desirable. Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures is essential. Basic math skills for weighing, measuring, and portioning products accurately. Culinary or kitchen experience that demonstrates knife skills, meat cutting, and slicing technique proficiency. Experience with fish handling or working with perishable goods is a plus. Strong customer service skills to assist shoppers with product questions or selections in a friendly manner. Pay:
$12.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 35.0 per week
