In this energetic role, you will handle meat cutting, food preparation, packaging, and ensure all food safety standards are met. Your culinary skills and attention to detail will help create a welcoming shopping experience for our customers while maintaining the highest standards of food handling and sanitation. Responsibilities Prepare and cut meat products with precision using knife skills and meat cutting techniques to meet customer specifications Package meat products efficiently while maintaining freshness and presentation quality Ensure all food handling procedures adhere to safety regulations and hygiene standards Assist customers with product selection, answer questions about meat cuts, and provide excellent customer service Maintain cleanliness of work stations, equipment, and storage areas in compliance with food safety protocols Support inventory management by stocking shelves, rotating stock, and recording product levels accurately Follow all food industry guidelines to uphold quality standards and prevent cross-contamination Experience Previous experience in food production, food preparation, or kitchen environments is preferred Knowledge of meat cutting, culinary techniques, and knife skills is highly desirable Experience working in a food industry setting such as a grocery store or restaurant is a plus Familiarity with food safety practices and sanitation procedures is essential Strong customer service skills gained through restaurant or retail experience will be beneficial Ability to handle food products safely while maintaining efficiency in a busy environment Basic understanding of packaging methods and inventory management in a retail or food setting
