Job Description
Beast & Cleaver is a family-owned, whole-animal butcher shop and restaurant in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood, dedicated to local, sustainable, and organic meat. In addition to our butcher case, we make and sell p t , charcuterie, meat pies, bone broth, and other house-prepared goods. We're looking for a charismatic, highly motivated, detail-oriented team player to join our small but mighty crew. You'll break down whole animals into retail cuts, work the case, and help prep p t , charcuterie, and other cooking projects for the restaurant. A sense of humor, professionalism, a willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic are all must-haves for this role.
The ideal person for this position will have at least 2 years of whole animal butchery experience, and have some familiarity with making sausages and charcuterie. Expect to break down whole animals, make sausages, work hard, support the kitchen, and be a team player. Good knife skills and cleanliness are a must. The right person will be rewarded with the ability to progress. This would be a great job for someone looking to extend their butchery experience to whole animal butchery or for someone who already has whole animal butchery skills to continue to learn.
