Food Handler Certification Full Job Description Overview:
Meat Cutters cut, prepare and handle all meat and seafood products in accordance with PCC standards. They provide excellent, professional customer service.

Main Job Responsibilities:
Provides excellent, professional customer service Cuts, prepares and handles all meat and seafood in accordance with PCC standards Maintains scales, labels and signage in accordance with regulations and PCC standards Receives product and may place orders as directed by the supervisors or appropriate meat department staff Merchandises the department to enhance shopping experience and maximize sales Ensures department sanitation, cleanliness and safety standards are met
Qualifications and Skills:
Proven ability to provide excellent, professional customer service Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends, and be able to travel to multiple store locations It is a requirement at all PCC locations that meat cutters are licensed. Willingness to work at all PCC locations Must have at least two years of experience working as a licensed, journey-level meat cutter Must be able to identify all cuts of meat, fish, and poultry Demonstrated skill in meat wrapping and handling Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills Knowledge of natural and organic meats preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must be able to meet physical demands, including standing, bending, twisting, repetitive motion, and lifting up to 60lbs regularly A current Food Worker Card from the Washington State Department of Health is required Must be at least 18 years of age
