Pay Rate:
$6.31 an hour plus tips and $22.50 an hour as an Assistant Pit Supervisor
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Exchange cash for chips Deal the games (i.e. blackjack, three card poker, pai gow etc.) efficiently and in accordance with established policies and procedures Provide continuous quality entertainment and service to guests Protect the integrity of the game and table inventory Operate the table games software Monitor table activity and guest play ensuring compliance with Title 31 guidelines Correct dealer errors and settle player disputes Initiate and verify fills and credits for tables Issue comps following established guidelines
KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Required Knowledge and Certification:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience 6 months table games experience
Preferred Knowledge and Certification:
Previous supervisory experience Proven knowledge of basic strategy and (+) and (-) count system
Required Skills:
Accurate and detail-oriented Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills Excellent problem solving skills Above average math skills
Required Abilities:
Ability to work fast and efficiently Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner Ability to speak in a clear, concise and pleasant voice
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to stand for long periods throughout the day with some walking Must be able to reach and twist routinely Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely Must have the ability to independently lift up to 5 pounds infrequently Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions Must have good eye hand coordination Must have the ability to deal at least 350 hands per hour
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed primarily on the gaming floor, which includes flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals High volume direct public contact
