ASSISTANT CHEF
Capstone Treatment Center | Searcy, AR Full-Time

ABOUT THE ROLE
  • At Capstone Treatment Center, food is a part of how we care for people.
As Assistant Chef, you'll work alongside our Dietary Supervisor to make sure every client receives three quality meals a day, 365 days a year, in a clean, well-run kitchen that reflects the same standard of excellence we bring to everything we do here. WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Prepare and assist in the production of daily meals for clients and staff
  • Follow a nutritional menu plan to ensure balanced, consistent meals every day
  • Receive, stock, and manage all food inventory for the facility
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary dining hall and kitchen environment
  • Practice proper food safety standards including food separation, temperature control, and pathogen prevention
  • Manage inventory for cleaning supplies and paper products
  • Assist with lunch prep for off-campus needs and track lunch sign-ups
  • Keep coffee supplies stocked for the main office
  • Communicate dining service needs and improvements to the team via email
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • Experience in dietary services, food prep, or a kitchen environment preferred
  • Knowledgeable in Department of Health standards and food safety practices
  • Familiar with food temperature and time requirements
  • Good physical health and personal hygiene standards
  • Strong communicator who can flag needs and work well within a team
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and takes ownership of their workspace
