In this role, you will be responsible for preparing authentic sushi dishes with precision, creativity, and attention to detail. Your expertise will help deliver an exceptional dining experience for our guests, showcasing your mastery of Japanese cuisine and food presentation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where culinary artistry and customer satisfaction are at the forefront. Responsibilities Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes following established recipes and presentation standards Ensure all food handling and safety protocols are strictly adhered to, maintaining a clean and organized work station Collaborate with kitchen staff to plan menus that highlight fresh ingredients and innovative flavor combinations Maintain high standards of food quality, freshness, and consistency during all stages of preparation Assist in training junior kitchen staff on proper sushi techniques, knife skills, and food safety practices Manage inventory levels for seafood, rice, vegetables, and other ingredients to minimize waste and ensure availability Uphold excellent food service standards by serving dishes promptly and engaging positively with guests when appropriate Qualifications Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar culinary role within fine dining or high-end restaurants Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine, sushi preparation techniques, and food industry best practices Exceptional knife skills with the ability to handle delicate fish and ingredients efficiently Experience in menu planning, food preparation, cooking, and catering services Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures Previous work in restaurant environments demonstrating excellent food service skills Dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required; a passion for culinary arts is essential Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting Join us if you're eager to craft exquisite sushi dishes while delivering memorable dining experiences!
