Our program emphasizes structure, compassion, and whole-person healing in a supportive and professional environment. Position Overview We are seeking a dependable and experienced Residential Chef to prepare nutritious, well-balanced meals for clients in a residential recovery setting. The ideal candidate is organized, maintains high standards of food quality and sanitation, and values the role nutrition plays in the recovery process. This position is essential to supporting client health, comfort, and overall wellness. Key ResponsibilitiesMeal Preparation & Service Prepare and serve daily meals and snacks according to the facility menu Ensure meals are nutritious, properly portioned, and visually appealing Accommodate dietary restrictions, allergies, and medical needs Maintain consistency in taste, quality, and presentation Serve meals on schedule within a structured program environment Kitchen & Food Operations Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen Properly store, rotate, and label food items (FIFO) Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs Minimize waste and manage food costs responsibly Safely operate kitchen equipment Safety & Compliance Follow food safety and sanitation regulations Adhere to infection control and cleanliness protocols Maintain required certifications Team Collaboration Work cooperatively with clinical and support staff Maintain professionalism and appropriate boundaries Contribute positively to a therapeutic environment Qualifications ✅ High school diploma or equivalent ✅ Culinary or food service experience preferred ✅ Experience in residential, healthcare, or institutional setting a plus ✅ Valid Food Handler Card (required) ✅ ServSafe Certification (preferred) Skills & Attributes ✔ Strong time management and organization ✔ Attention to detail and cleanliness ✔ Ability to work independently ✔ Reliable and punctual ✔ Professional and respectful demeanor Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift/move supplies (25-50 lbs.) Schedule Full time: 10am-7pm / Flexible / Weekends & Holidays as needed
