Pay Rate:

Duties:
Responsible for preparing quality desserts and pastries per standardized recipes. Collaborate with pastry chef to create new and exciting dessert specials to engage the interest of customers. Plans food production to coordinate with meal serving hours and determines amount and type of food and supplies required for daily menus. Ensures that excellence, quality, temperature and appearance of food are preserved. Follows all safety procedures when handling kitchen equipment and complies with department sanitation standards and personal hygiene/uniform standards. Ensure compliance with inventory procedures; inform kitchen manager or Chef as stock runs low. Delivery of desserts to other locations on campus using golf delivery carts Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station. Assist in the training of new kitchen staff. Assists the pastry chef in other duties as assigned. Respect Qualifications:
Minimum of two years experience as a pastry cook or baker in a hotel, restaurant, club or similar institution Ability to plan and organize work, to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications and standards Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance. Knowledge of nutrition and diet Culinary education preferred Prior to beginning work at our community, applicants must complete and pass a drug screening, physical exam with tuberculosis (TB) skin test, and criminal clearance through FBI and Department of Justice (over 18 only).
