Full Job Description Responsibilities:
- Prepare a variety of sushi rolls and sashimi dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in sushi preparation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station and kitchen area
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation and service
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Handle knives and other kitchen equipment safely and responsibly
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Sushi Chef in a catering or restaurant setting is preferred
- Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques and presentation
- Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures
- Excellent knife skills for precise cutting and slicing of ingredients
- Willingness to help with other kitchen duties as needed
- Knowledge of menu planning, portion control, and cost management is a plus
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and guidelines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
