In this role, you will be responsible for preparing authentic sushi dishes with precision, creativity, and dedication to quality. Duties Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards Craft fresh sushi rolls, nigiri, and specialty items with attention to detail and artistic flair Maintain a clean and organized work station in compliance with health and safety regulations Monitor ingredient freshness and manage inventory levels to ensure availability of quality products Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service Educate team members on sushi techniques and culinary best practices when needed Uphold the restaurant's standards for food quality, presentation, and customer satisfaction Requirements Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or similar culinary role specializing in Japanese cuisine Strong knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, knife skills, and ingredient handling Culinary experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment with attention to detail Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety Excellent teamwork skills and ability to communicate effectively with colleagues Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required Passion for culinary arts, creativity in presentation, and dedication to continuous learning This position offers an exciting opportunity for talented chefs eager to showcase their sushi craftsmanship while contributing to an energetic dining atmosphere.
