In this role, you will craft authentic and innovative sushi dishes, ensuring the highest quality standards and presentation. Your expertise in Japanese cuisine, attention to detail, and dedication to culinary excellence will inspire both colleagues and guests alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your artistry in sushi preparation while contributing to a vibrant dining experience. Responsibilities Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with precision and artistry. Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in all food preparation areas. Develop new sushi recipes and menu items that delight guests and reflect current culinary trends. Manage ingredient inventory, ensuring freshness and proper storage of seafood, rice, vegetables, and other supplies. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service delivery. Educate junior staff on sushi techniques, presentation skills, and safety protocols. Uphold consistent quality control by tasting dishes and adjusting seasoning or presentation as needed. Qualifications Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in Japanese cuisine with a strong portfolio of sushi creations. Extensive knowledge of sushi ingredients, techniques, and presentation styles. Culinary experience with a focus on seafood handling, knife skills, and rice preparation. Ability to develop innovative recipes while maintaining traditional authenticity. Strong understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices. Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
