Need to basic sushi skills. Duties Prepare and present sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, and rolls, with attention to detail and artistic presentation. Ensure the freshness and quality of all ingredients used in sushi preparation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients and communicate needs to management for timely ordering. Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques related to sushi preparation. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in sushi-making techniques and food handling practices. Requirements Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the restaurant or food service industry. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, particularly in Japanese cuisine. Proficiency with kitchen tools, including knives, and an understanding of proper food handling procedures. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in a culinary environment. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting. A culinary degree or certification is preferred but not required; passion for the craft is essential. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed by the restaurant schedule.
