Sushi Chef/Helper

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and passionate Sushi Chef to join our culinary team in a fine dining restaurant setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and a deep understanding of sushi techniques, menu planning, and the overall food service industry. As a Sushi Chef, you will play a key role in creating high-quality sushi dishes that delight our guests and enhance their dining experience. Duties Prepare and present a variety of sushi dishes according to traditional and contemporary recipes. Plan and develop innovative sushi menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Ensure the highest standards of food safety and hygiene are maintained in the kitchen. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality control. Assist in training kitchen staff on sushi preparation techniques and best practices. Monitor inventory levels of sushi ingredients, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock. Stay updated on trends in the culinary world, particularly within the sushi domain, to keep the menu fresh and exciting. Qualifications Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the food industry, particularly in fine dining establishments. Strong culinary skills with an emphasis on sushi preparation techniques. Knowledge of menu planning, food service operations, and kitchen management. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality presentation. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members. A passion for culinary arts and a desire to help elevate the dining experience through exceptional food.
