Job Description

Culinary Operations Assist the Senior Sous Chef in planning and executing all menus, specials, and seasonal offerings. Supervise and participate in the preparation, cooking, and plating of all dishes to ensure consistent quality and presentation. Maintain high culinary standards and ensure all recipes, portioning, and techniques are followed precisely. Oversee kitchen line checks and ensure readiness for service at all times. Leadership & Staff Management Train, coach, and develop line cooks, prep cooks, and other kitchen team members. Lead by example in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen. Assist with scheduling, staffing, and performance management. Foster a positive, professional, and respectful kitchen culture that aligns with company values. Inventory & Cost Control Support inventory management by tracking food usage, waste, and cost efficiency. Assist in ordering, receiving, and storing ingredients according to FIFO and safety standards. Monitor and control food and labor costs in alignment with budget targets. Health, Safety & Compliance Ensure all food safety, sanitation, and health standards are strictly followed. Maintain compliance with local health department regulations and company policies. Uphold all cleanliness and equipment maintenance standards throughout the kitchen. Collaboration & Creativity Collaborate with the Senior Sous Chef on menu development and special events. Stay current with culinary trends and techniques to bring creativity and innovation to the menu. Communicate effectively with front-of-house management to ensure seamless service.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of kitchen experience , with at least 2 years in a supervisory or Sous Chef role . Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, production, and inventory systems. Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience preferred. Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to perform under pressure and maintain composure during peak service hours. ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification preferred. Spanish Cuisine Knowledge a plus
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in hot or cold conditions as required.
