Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Sous Chef, where your passion for food and leadership will elevate our kitchen operations to new heights. In this vital role, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen activities, ensuring exceptional food quality, safety standards, and seamless service. Your expertise in fine dining, catering, and banquet environments will drive excellence across all culinary offerings. Responsibilities Assist in managing all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet high standards of quality and consistency Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative environment focused on teamwork and continuous improvement Oversee food safety sanitizing procedures and ensure compliance with health regulations across all kitchen areas Coordinate menu planning and food production for various service types, including fine dining, banquets, and catering events Manage inventory control and food management processes to minimize waste and optimize costs while maintaining freshness and quality Support shift management by assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring smooth workflow during busy periods Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and uphold inclusive menu options Qualifications Proven experience in food production within fine dining or catering environments, with a strong background in restaurant or hospitality settings Demonstrated supervisory experience managing culinary teams effectively while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation Extensive knowledge of kitchen management, inventory control, cost control, and food handling procedures Skilled in menu planning, food preparation, cooking techniques, and serving practices aligned with industry best practices Familiarity with banquet experience, catering operations, and shift management is highly desirable Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills to motivate teams and ensure operational excellence Certification or training in food safety sanitizing procedures is preferred; a passion for culinary innovation is a plus Embark on a rewarding journey where your culinary talents will shine! Pay:
$60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
