Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sushi Chef to join our team. This energetic role offers the opportunity to craft authentic and innovative sushi dishes in a lively, high-volume environment. As a Sushi Chef, you will bring your culinary expertise, creativity, and precision to deliver exceptional dining experiences that delight our guests. Your dedication to food safety, presentation, and quality will be essential in maintaining our reputation for excellence. Responsibilities Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi dishes with precision, artistry, and consistency Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all food handling and preparation processes Ensure all ingredients are stored properly, rotated regularly, and used efficiently to minimize waste Collaborate with the kitchen team to coordinate meal preparation and maintain smooth service flow Monitor quality control during food preparation, ensuring each dish meets presentation and taste standards Assist in training junior kitchen staff on sushi techniques, knife skills, and safety protocols Requirements Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within a fine dining or high-volume restaurant setting Strong knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation standards in the culinary industry Exceptional knife skills and proficiency in various sushi preparation techniques Experience with menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and creative presentation styles Background in dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus for accommodating special dietary needs Excellent communication skills and ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Culinary experience with a focus on food preparation, cooking, and food service operations Join us to elevate the art of sushi making while delivering memorable dining experiences!
