Lead and manage the sushi preparation team, providing guidance, training, and supervision to foster a collaborative and high-performing environment. Maintain inventory control by monitoring ingredient levels, managing stock rotation, and minimizing waste through effective inventory management practices. Uphold food safety sanitizing procedures rigorously to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment in compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with the culinary team on menu planning, catering events, and special dietary requests to enhance guest satisfaction. Oversee shift management, including scheduling, coordinating food service operations, and ensuring timely delivery of dishes during busy periods. Qualifications Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within fine dining or high-volume restaurant settings. Demonstrated supervising experience with the ability to lead and manage culinary teams effectively. Strong background in food preparation, food handling, and kitchen management within the food industry. Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures, inventory control, and cost management practices. Experience with banquet service, catering events, and dietary accommodations is highly desirable. Excellent skills in menu planning, cooking techniques specific to sushi preparation, and serving in hospitality environments.
