Cooks Lil Vic is a new wood-fired French bistro set in a historic Victorian farmhouse. Our cooking is rooted in French technique, driven by the seasons, and centered around great local products, live-fire cooking, and making as much as we can in-house. We are currently looking for cooks to join our opening team. We are building a kitchen for people who care about their craft, take pride in their work, and want to continue learning. Experience is important, but so are attitude, curiosity, reliability, and a willingness to help the people around you succeed.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for cooks who are excited about working with great ingredients and learning the techniques behind the food we serve. Our kitchen will focus on French cooking, wood-fire techniques, whole-animal butchery, seasonal vegetables, stocks, sauces, preservation, and working directly with products from local farms and producers. We are looking for people who: Have professional kitchen experience Take pride in organization, cleanliness, and consistency Are comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen Want to learn and improve their skills Respect ingredients and the work that goes into producing them Communicate well and work as part of a team Are dependable and show up ready to work Are interested in French cooking, live-fire cooking, and local products Fine-dining experience is welcome, but it isn't the only thing we're looking for. We want cooks who are curious, motivated, and interested in becoming better at what they do.

WHAT WE WANT TO BUILD

Lil Vic isn't interested in creating a kitchen where people simply come in, work their station, and go home. We want to build a team that learns together. You should leave Lil Vic with more knowledge and stronger skills than when you arrived. We want people to ask questions, share what they know, take pride in the details, and help create a kitchen where everyone contributes to the success of the restaurant.
