Job Description

DiFebo's Restaurant est. 1989 is chef ran and operated, award winning restaurants in Bethany Beach and Rehoboth Beach Delaware with our newest location , DiFebo's Restaurant Group in Bethany Beach, De. specializing in homemade desserts, pastry and homemade chef inspired ice creams. We are community centric and still believe in old school hospitality. We are invested in our employees and travel back and forth to Italy to sharpen our cooking skills with employees in tow! We are looking for a pastry chef that is well versed in not only baking but pastry and laminated dough production. Someone that is excited about food and has the ability to create and lead a pastry team! Hoping to hear from our next chef!
Responsibilities:
Menu Planning Baking and Production Recipe Development Quality Control Kitchen Management Team Leadership Compliance with health and Safety Standards Collaboration with other departments
Cost Management Customer Interaction Requirements:
Culinary Education :
Formal education in the Culinary Arts field or related
HIGH Production Experience:
Proven Experience as a pastry Chef in a bakery and or high volumed restaurant.
Creativity :
Ability to innovate and create new and appealing pastry recipes Organizationa l Skills Leadership, strong leadership skills for this position is necessary Attention to any and all details Adaptability Effective Communicator Additional Task's Operate and manage the pastry section of a kitchen, working together with the other chefs and leading pastry team with daily creations Prepare a variety of baked goods based on a weekly pastry meeting with the team. Keeping up with the daily production of the market, both Restaurants. Bethany and Rehoboth Location Decorate and present pastries and baked good displays in a tasteful and beautiful way Collaborate with the company chefs on NEW delicious WOW pastry Help co-ordinate ice cream production and recipe building Produce seasonal beautiful cakes, pastry, pies and cup cakes Looking for an innovative cupcake, cookie and cake decorator Monitor bakery displays, freshness and variety Manage Seasonal and holiday baking menu 1 month in advance Weekly meetings with staff and management Stay up on baking and decorating trends Communicate daily with your sous chef or baking assistant Monitor and order ingredients, supplies and equipment Meet with customers to discuss custom-made desserts or baked goods for special occasions Ensure all equipment had been properly stored and cleaned for the day. Identify staffing needs, help to recruit new personnel and train them Develop new seasonal recipes and menus and keep up with the latest trends
